Johnny Wins Bronze at Worlds
Club member Johnny Weir won the Bronze Medal at the World Championships. This is the first World Medal for Johnny and the only medal won by the US at the 2008 World Championships. Way to go Johnny!
Adam Takes Men's Crown at World Junior Championships
Club member Adam Rippon completed a near-perfect season Thursday as he won the free skate and the overall men's title at the 2008 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Except for a second-place finish in his Junior Grand Prix assignment last fall, Adam won every event he entered this season. Congratulations Adam. Well done!
2008 US Nationals Results:
Johnny Weir wins Silver
In an unprecedented result, Johnny and Evan Lysacek finished with the same overall score -244.77 but because Lysacek had the higher free skate score, which is used as the tiebreaker, Johnny wound up with the Silver medal in the Mens Championship event.

Adam Rippon wins
Junior Mens Gold
Adam took first place displaying seamless footwork and forceful triples posting a personal best score of 213.76. Adam also won the 2007 Junior Grand Prix. Congratulations Adam on a great season!
Felicia Zhang wins
Novice Ladies Bronze Medal
Felicia moved up from fourth in the short program to finish second in the free skate and claim the bronze medal. She landed seven clean doubles and posted the second-best program components score (35.58) in the segment.

Maia Shibutani
wins Pewter in
Junior Dance
Maia and her partner Alex Shibutani (Broadmoor SC) took 4th place in the Junior Ice Dance event. This was especially impressive as this is the first year the team is competing at the Junior level. Way to go Mai
At the 2008 Junior Nationals
Danielle and Alexander Gamelin win the Bronze in Juvenile Ice Dance
The Gamelin Twins capped a great season with the bronze medal at Junior Nationals in Juvenile Ice Dancing. Earlier in the year they won the gold medal at the Eastern Sectionals. Good work Danielle and Alexander!
Wollman Rink
We are proud to announce that U.S. Figure Skating will present its membership recognition award to the Wollman Rink Basic Skills program for enrolling more than 2500 skaters in their program during the 2006-07 season. This is the fourth year that Wollman Rink has earned the honor of largest Basic Skills membership in U.S. Figure Skating!
